 Periodontal (Gum Disease) Treatment

At our Price, UT dental practice, we aim to take care of your whole mouth, which includes the gums, bones, and tissues that surround your teeth as well as the teeth themselves. Our goal is to help prevent and treat periodontal (gum) disease so that you can enjoy your teeth for life. If you are diagnosed with periodontal disease, have gums that bleed when brushing or flossing, or have bad breath, Dr. Fonnesbeck’s office has the skill to help you.  You may require scaling and root planing (deep cleaning) with this goal in mind.  Then with continued care, you will have a more healthy mouth and body. Untreated periodontal disease is dangerous and can lead to more than just the loss of your teeth. Please call our office today to schedule your consultation with Dr. Fonnesbeck, and begin working towards optimal oral health.

 Nitrous Oxide and Sedation Dentistry

To help make your visit to our Price, UT dental practice completely comfortable, we may recommend nitrous oxide, a form of sedation dentistry. Nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, as it is more commonly known, helps to reduce and even eliminate anxiety. A safe and effective treatment, nitrous oxide can be used during virtually any treatment to help keep you comfortable and relaxed. Some patients have more anxiety than nitrous oxide alone can treat. In these cases Dr. Fonnesbeck can prescribe valium used with or without nitrous oxide. This has helped patients to overcome their fear of dental treatment. In many cases with compassionate care, over time, fearful patients actually find that they no longer need sedation dentistry. We will do whatever it takes to make it so you can overcome your anxiety so that we can care for you and your teeth. To learn more about nitrous oxide or sedation dentistry, we invite you to give our office a call today.
